Sliding Scale Pricing.
Sliding scale fees are provided for workshops and courses to account for different incomes—between and within countries. Please review the group countries lists from The International Focusing Institute (TIFI), below or on their website, which uses average incomes in USD, and the sliding scale fee guidance document, also below, to select what discount code feels right to you, taking into account both your location and your situation.
As the guidance document says, please “place yourself as best you can, being honest and self-loving.” The intention is for you to do a self-assessment and choose for yourself. More instructions are available here.
Discount Codes: Equity by Country and Situation
TIFI created six groups in order to have a more equitable membership structure. The groups are based upon the average Gross National Income (GNI) in US dollars, as calculated by the World Bank for 2020. You can read more about how TIFI did this here. PUPA uses these country groups for sliding scale pricing, and has built upon them with the sliding scale fee guidance document below, to further adjust for situations within countries. See the accordion below for discount codes for each group.
If you do not make the GNI range of your country, you can feel free to place yourself in a country group that reflects your income. You can also use the sliding scale fee guidance document below to place yourself according to your situation, which includes other factors than current income, such as your family assets or roadblocks.

NOTES ON USING THIS SCALE
The following notes are in the guidance document. They’re included here to make them easier to read:
This is a guide, not a prescription. You know your financial reality better than anyone or any scale, period.
There are lots of experiences and situations not covered here - place yourself as you best can, being honest and self-loving.
It's ok to have resources! And it's ok not to have them. That's what a scale is meant to account for.
Please use this as an opportunity to examine your resources (or lack thereof) and situation holistically and generationally.
Often we find that folks who've experienced early-life abundance who are *currently temporarily scarce* select lower on the scale than people who've experienced early-life scarcity who are temporarily abundant. That's not what's supposed to happen—and it doesn't create a sustainable practice for the practitioner.
